Senior Account Manager 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Account Manager to join our growing team and help scale the impact of our client’s social media accounts. 

The role of Senior Account Manager is integral to delivering best in class client service and campaigns that succeed internally and externally.   

You will be responsible for leading some of the agencies key accounts and will be comfortable leading from the front. From strategic development and ensuring the strategy lives through the development of the campaign to answer the business challenges, to optimising results and return on client spend. 

By understanding the client business, you will also be expected to develop proactive ideas with your team to share with the client, creating new business opportunities and creative solutions.   


The role will also involve mentoring and developing future Account Managers / Executives to help them grow and progress, whilst delivering projects together. 


This role is ideal for someone who thrives on working collaboratively, has a strategic mindset and a passion for social media. 

The Role 

  • Lead on client contact across multiple clients - maintaining established client relationships, developing more recently acquired client relationships - quickly winning their trust 

  • Manage day to day relationship and contact with the client - delivering reports, managing activity on budget and within the agreed timelines 

  • Developing strategic plans 

  • Growing client accounts 

  • Managing client targets and pipeline  

  • Managing and reporting accurate revenue figures 

  • Ensuring quality control through supervision and stimulation to ensure best solutions always presented to client challenges 

  • Focus on generating new ideas to share across the agency 

  • Managing the commercial success of accounts 

  • Ensuring profitability/accountability 



Essential Requirements   

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an account management role 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills  

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise   

  • Ability to comfortably handle and work on different clients at the same time 

  • A good can-do attitude  

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – ability to spot growth and revenue opportunity 

  • Confidence in communicating with senior leaders within Client teams 

  • Demonstration of good leadership skills and the ability to motivate the junior members of staff 



Advantageous skills 

  • A good understanding of the wider digital marketing mix and channels  

  • A good understanding of the various social media platforms 

  • B2B, telecoms and/or energy experience 

  • Negotiation skills
