Hydrogen’s favourite campaigns of 2022

We’ve been privileged to work on a range of amazing clients and on wonderful projects in 2022. Here are a few of our favourite campaigns that we have released in 2022.

Highland Park Whisky: Travel Range

At the beginning of the year, we were tasked to produce a suite of photography highlighting Highland Park’s exceptional Travel Retail range, which is available exclusively in Duty Free retailers.

Prior to this shoot, no travel retail assets existed. We art directed a shoot which culminated in a range of images for use on social, web, and OOH – keep your eyes open next time you’re travelling through an airport!

Heverlee: Melting Pot

Melting Pot x Heverlee was a festival taking place over 30th April/1st May at Queens

Park Recreational Ground in Glasgow Southside. We were asked to work with C&C, Melting Pot and Badaboom to support and amplify Melting Pot’s 2022 events on social.

We provided creative and content for the event build-up period, paid social support to drive ticket sales, on-site content and production support, plus post-festival content to be used to advertise future events.

The campaign was seen over half a million times, with over 4000 clicking through to the website to purchase a ticket, and over 200,000 views of our Giphy stickers on Instagram during the festival itself.

Ramblers Scotland: Introductory Walks

Ramblers Scotland wanted to encourage people to sign up for free introductory walks, to raise awareness and help to potentially sign-up new members.

The paid campaign targeted 10 local regions, with 55% of all walk sign-ups coming from social, and 63% of all attendees coming from social.

With well researched targeting, scroll-stopping creative and strong calls to action, we are thrilled to have worked with the team at Ramblers Scotland to deliver a campaign with impressive results and learnings that can be used to inform future campaigns.

OVO Energy: OVO Bikes

This summer, we were delighted to undertake an exciting production project on behalf of our client, OVO Energy. This project involved capturing the brand’s fantastic, sustainable city bikes in all their glory, in Glasgow and Cardiff.

From mindfully selecting a diverse array of talented models to carefully curating our location and timing plans, our team worked closely with OVO to ensure each of our shoot days ran as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

The result was a bank of over 60 high-quality images which can be used across a variety of platforms: from social media and beyond.

Glasgow Coffee Festival

Our coffee-loving content team had the pleasure of providing social media support for The Glasgow Coffee Festival. We were tasked with spreading the word and providing copy, design, and event-coverage expertise to the hard-working festival team. This included ensuring that content accurately reflected the incredible scale of the event while making room for broader themes such as sustainability and community.

The event was a sell-out, and we had a great time attending during the festival itself!

Highland Park: Gifting

During the year, Highland Park approached us looking for support to sell some of their Special Editions range. Our approach for highlighting the special editions was to capture photography with a gifting prompt, as what better way to mark a special occasion than with a special edition gift.

This marked the first time that we shot a full paid campaign for Highland Park in our internal studio, and we were so pleased with the results, which have been used as part of an on-going paid campaign throughout the year.

Hydrogen: TikTok

And finally, we also enjoyed creating content for ourselves! In 2022, we launched the Hydrogen TikTok account, and have enjoyed showing off the lighter side of life at Hydrogen, as well as behind the scenes and industry updates.

One of our best performing videos from 2022 had over 110,000 views and 6720 likes (organically). Check it out here and make sure to follow us to see other videos!
